Aims

The elected Executive Committee has promised to

• continue the vibrant programme of Monthly Communal Prayers
• hold celebrations for the main Hindu Festivals
• meet as many City, County and District Councillors as possible
• Be available for press, radio and TV interviews on matters relating to the Oxfordshire Hindu Community in particular and Hinduism in general.
• Raise £500,000 via a Pledge Campaign over a 12-month period. Members and well wishers are being asked to pledge whatever sum they can afford using the Pledge Form. The pledge turns into a donation when the target total is reached on or before the end of February 2011.
• Bring our 2010/11 Business Plan to fruition.

Projects

A set of 3 lectures on "Introduction to Hinduism" were given by Dr. Gyan Gopal at the St. Ethelwolds House in Abingdon to a multi faith audience.

The Executive Committee is currently working on the following Projects:

• A design for a Community Centre Hall to seat 500 and a Temple Hall to seat 200 is being worked on.



• Plans for a Dewali Party at The Kassam Stadium on 29th October are currently being worked on .
